Terms & booking conditions.
These conditions apply to journey proposals, bookings and travel arrangements made with Efind Tours. Please read them carefully. Your formal proposal will set out the specific inclusions, price and payment schedule for your journey.
1. Proposals and confirmation
An outline or quotation is not a confirmed booking. A journey is confirmed only when we have received your written acceptance, any required deposit and confirmed the arrangements with our suppliers. We will tell you clearly when your journey is confirmed.
2. Prices and payments
Prices are quoted in US dollars unless stated otherwise. They are based on the arrangements described in your proposal and on supplier prices and exchange rates at the time of quotation. We reserve the right to correct errors and to pass on significant cost increases before confirmation. The payment schedule, deposit and balance date will be set out in your proposal.
3. Changes and cancellation
If you need to change or cancel your journey, please tell us in writing as soon as possible. Charges depend on the date of cancellation and on the terms of the hotels, airlines, railway and other suppliers involved; these will be explained in your proposal. Where we can reduce a supplier charge, we will pass the saving on to you.
4. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us. It must cover medical treatment, emergency repatriation, evacuation, cancellation, curtailment, luggage and the activities included in your journey. Please send us the policy details before departure.
5. Passports, visas and entry requirements
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, obtaining any required visa and meeting health and entry requirements. We provide current guidance and visa invitation letters where applicable, but the application and its accuracy remain your responsibility. Rules can change without notice; please check with the Chinese embassy, visa centre or immigration authority before travelling.
6. Itineraries and circumstances beyond our control
We plan carefully, but travel in China can be affected by weather, transport disruption, public holidays, permit changes, site closures or other circumstances beyond our control. We may need to adjust an itinerary in your interests or for safety. Where a significant change is required, we will offer a reasonable alternative of comparable value.
7. Health, fitness and conduct
Some journeys involve walking on uneven ground, heat, altitude or long drives. Please tell us about any medical condition, mobility requirement, pregnancy or dietary need when you enquire so we can plan appropriately. You are responsible for acting reasonably, following local guidance and respecting wildlife, communities and other travellers.
8. Tibet and permit regions
Travel to Tibet and some other regions requires permits and, in most cases, travel with a guide. We arrange permits on your behalf where we can, but issuance is at the discretion of the authorities. If a permit is refused, we will discuss alternatives and applicable supplier charges.
9. Liability
We take responsibility for the services we provide directly and select our suppliers with care. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law and by the terms of the relevant suppliers. We are not liable for loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or for independent services you arrange yourself.
10. Complaints
If something is not right during your journey, please tell your guide or contact our office immediately so we can try to resolve it. If a matter remains unresolved, write to us within 28 days of your return and we will investigate.
11. Governing law
These conditions are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Chinese courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
