How far in advance should we book?
For spring and autumn, six to nine months gives the best choice of hotels and train seats. Summer and the October holiday are especially busy. We can still build beautiful journeys at shorter notice — ask us.
Do you arrange visas?
We provide visa invitation letters and current entry guidance. The visa application itself is made by you to the Chinese embassy or visa centre. We confirm whether you may qualify for visa-free entry or transit before you book.
Are your tours private?
Almost all of them, yes. You travel with your own English-speaking guide and driver, on your own dates. A small number of train or cruise segments are shared with other passengers; we make that clear in the itinerary.
Can you help with payments and apps?
Yes. Before you fly we send a setup guide for Alipay or WeChat Pay and a connectivity recommendation. If you prefer, we can walk you through it on a short video call.
Is China suitable for families?
Very much so, with the right pace. Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai work particularly well. We shorten transfers, choose family rooms and match guides to your children's ages and interests.
What about Tibet?
Foreign travellers need a Tibet Travel Permit arranged through a licensed agency and must usually travel with a guide. We handle the permit, transport, oxygen support and acclimatisation planning.
What level of hotels do you use?
We choose characterful four- and five-star hotels, courtyard stays and boutique properties rather than international chains by default. In remote areas we use the best available option and are honest about what that means.

Yes. Efind Tours is operated by a licensed Chinese travel agency, tourism licence L-GX-CJ00096. We are based in Guilin, Guangxi, and work across China.
